Indian Trails: Making Sense of Standardized Tests

May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm UTC+0

In regards to the ACT and SAT, parents may be wondering: When should students prepare for them? Should my student take one or the other or both? About the PSAT 10/11: How can my student qualify for scholarship money through this test? As Illinois has transitioned their state assessment from the ACT to the SAT, more and more high schools are using the PSAT 8/9 to help determine placement levels for incoming freshmen. So, now parents have another standardized test that they could scratch their heads over.

Through this workshop, parents and students will learn how the PSAT, SAT and ACT fit into the “big picture.” Covering middle school to high school, we will discuss how to know which tests to focus on and the ideal timeline and strategy for preparing and making the most out of these tests. Parents and students will also be introduced to resources to support their needs.
